Importance of Suspicious Activity Monitoring (SAR)

Suspicious activity reporting is a cornerstone of your BSA/AML program.  Examiners will evaluate your program on how well your suspicious activity reporting policies, procedures and processes are working and also how well you are documenting all this information.  While there has been a little slow-down in regulatory change for the banking industry over the past few years, you may have noticed that it never slowed down in regard to your BSA expectations.
