NFIP Expires Today

Amy Kudlacek

By Amy Kudlacek

For those of you who live and breathe compliance, you may already be aware that the National Flood Insurance Program(NFIP) expires today, March 6, 2009.  In a blog last year, we alerted you to this fact.

We have heard nothing as to when or if the NFIP will be extended.  I guess the important thing to remember is not to panic.  This has happened before.  We expect in the near future the Regulatory agencies will issue a memo addressing this situation.

As always, we will keep you informed if we learn of any developments.
