Consumer Compliance Handbook (November 2008 Update)

By David Dickinson
In May, we wrote a blog on the FRB's Consumer Compliance Handbook. The FRB has just announced an update to this handbook.
Included in the November 2008 update is a new chapter covering special provisions for certain kinds of credit extended to active duty service members and their spouses, children, and other dependents. Also included are revised versions of two existing chapters--Regulation Z (Truth in Lending) and Regulation M (Consumer Leasing)--which have been updated to incorporate information on the requirements for the electronic delivery of disclosures that are contained in the E-Sign Act (Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act).
You can download the entire manual (1.69 MB) here. If you'd like to download the manual by sections, this page will help. If you're interested in other FRB Manuals, you can find them here.
